I am going to try something different this trip, trying to post on the fly, pics and a couple of comments, followed by my usual detailed post.
Let’s start with Venice. I chose the Rialto Experience Hotel due to its location. The hotel is next to the Rialto Bridge
So every bit of advice on when to visit Venice says don’t do it in July / August as there are too many tourists and it is hot. Whilst this is true, doing your sightseeing during the mornings and then chilling in the afternoon works.
First impressions of the place are positive. Lots of signs saying beware of pickpockets, which is good advice. The place is fairly clean and no sewer smell as I was warned to expect.
There are heaps of restaurants as you expect, will be a challenge to make sure that I dine well
Looks like you are having a fabulous time Oz – and great travel tips. Looking forward to the next post 🙂
So far so good..
Hopefully not too long until the next.
the photos are beautiful.
i look forward to the next collection of photos.
