Oz’s Siberian Trek

In a couple of days I will start my Siberian Trek from Moscow to Vladivostok via Irkutsk. Have not been on an adventure for quite some time, can’t wait to board my flight to Moscow.

Itinerary

My trip starts in Colombo with a flight to Dubai and then onto Moscow. In Moscow I will have a couple of days to explore before boarding the Trans Siberian Express for Irkutsk.

As the end to end train trip is 9259 kms and takes around 7 days, depending on which train you board, I decided to break the trip into two legs.

Will be first travelling only 3 days-ish and 5,153 kms to Irkutsk. I will be spending 4 days in Irkutsk and surrounds including Lake Baikal, apparently the deepest lake in the world.

From Irkutsk I board another train for a short 4106 km, also around 3 days, leg to Vladivostok, where I will have a couple of days to explore before heading back to reality in Singapore.

To get to Singapore from Vladivostok I am flying firstly to Tokyo and then onto Singapore.

Oz’s Siberian Trek

By the time I return from my Siberian Trek to Singapore I will have travelled at least 28,000 kms on Trains, Plains and Aeroplanes. Not bad for a couple of weeks travel.

Sure. Though may need a smoke mask in Irkutsk due to the bush / wild fires that are unfortunately ravaging the area.
