Trans Siberian Railway Day 4

Trans Siberian Railway Day 4 on board the 070Ч Moscow to Irkutsk train, Tyazhin to Irkutsk was about 1473 kms in length. My last day on board 070Ч as a part of my Siberian Trek

It was a very misty and overcast this morning, so no sunrise Siberian sunrise.

Food

070Ч Moscow to Irkutsk, Siberia, Oz's Siberian Trek, Russia, Russian Railways, Trans Siberian Day 4

Another bland breakfast. Really need to get some Chili Sauce or Tobasco Sauce

One of the attendants was selling freshly baked Russian Style Sausage rolls / hot dogs. It tasted a lot better than breakfast.

For lunch the soup was again the only dish that had any taste. Pasta was a change.

Trans Siberian Railway Day 3

Trans Siberian Railway Day 3

Trans Siberian Railway Day 3 on the 070Ч Moscow to Irkutsk train my first “official” day of my Trek in Siberia. The weather was a lot better, blue skies and around 20 C for most of the day

Sunrise

This morning’s sunrise was pretty spectacular, unfortunately my photos do not do it justice.

Dining Car

When I first went exploring it was before the dining car was open, so could not find it… After hearing from a few other passengers that was where they hung out, decided to go and check it out. Get’s full very quickly, they need a second dining car.

Russian Modern or Naughty’s Style?

Trans Siberian Railway Day 2

Trans Siberian Railway Day 2

Trans Siberian Railway Day 2 on board the 070Ч Moscow to Irkutsk train was from Brantovka to Talitsa about 1433 kms. This was the second day of my Siberian Trek, and my first full day on board the train.

Trans Siberian Railway Day 2, Trans Siberian Railway, Siberia, Siberian Trek, Oz's Siberian Trek, Russia, Russian Railways,

Sleeping was no problem, must have been the rocking and rolling.

Balezino

At Balezino we changed locomotives again, guessing now that the changes are crew related. Each crew must look after their own equipment, so each crew change they swap out the equipment

The locals at Balenzino were also selling souvenirs and soft toys along with cold drinks, instant noodles. A bit cool this morning, 10 C, and very grey.

White Rabbit Chef’s Table

White Rabbit Chef’s Table

One of my goals this trip was to dine at the White Rabbit Chef’s Table in Moscow. It was a experience more than a meal and exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to my next visit!

Fish Fish Fish

The Chef on the night I was there was Alexey Kogay who is the Chef of Chicha Bar a Japanese and Peruvian restaurant. A place I will have to visit next time I am in Moscow.

The Menu was all about Seafood, and was definitely an interesting night.

Everything was in Russian, so I was lucky to be sitting next to a Russian Teenager, Daria, who lives in SINGAPORE, and spoke perfect English (better than mine). Thankfully Daria translated all the important stuff.

Don’t let the lack of English prevent you from dining at the White Rabbit Chef’s Table, it really was not an issue.
